This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional. Our client is a fast-growing, mission-led technology services business in the City of London. It needs someone one day a week to take charge of planning and performance, and the days can be arranged to suit you.

You will turn financial data into clear, forward-looking insight that helps the leadership team make decisions about growth, funding and investment. You will also coach a small finance team as it develops its analytical skills.

Responsibilities

The role

  • Running the annual budget and rolling forecasts, supported by a well-built, fully integrated financial model.
  • Producing cash and runway forecasts to support funding and investor discussions.
  • Tracking the metrics that drive a services business, including revenue per head, gross margin, resourcing levels and cost trends.
  • Building scenario and sensitivity models for strategic choices, including possible acquisitions and investment.
  • Producing clear monthly reporting packs for management and the board.
  • Guiding junior finance colleagues and improving the team's modelling and reporting standards.
Qualifications

The person

  • An ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant, or someone with a strong FP&A career background.
  • Solid FP&A experience in a growth-stage or investor-backed environment.
  • Experience of transaction modelling, due diligence or M&A support, which would be a real advantage.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills, and the ability to present numbers clearly to non-finance leaders.
  • A proactive, commercially minded business partner.
  • The ability to attend the City of London office one day a week.
