Our client is a rapidly scaling international SaaS platform that has recently secured significant Series B funding and is experiencing a highly successful 2025. With a mission to transform the industry through cutting-edge, data-driven solutions, this innovative business is entering its next phase of global growth and operational expansion.
As the company evolves, they are now seeking a talented Financial Controller to join their team in a newly created role that will support strategic finance operations and help build out the finance function.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be the second key hire in the finance team, with responsibility for building and managing a team beneath them. This is a broad and hands-on role that covers technical accounting, global financial reporting, process improvement, and compliance.
You will play a critical role in supporting the company’s rapid scale-up, ensuring financial rigour and helping to establish a robust and future-proof finance function fit for international operations and future funding events.
Support the Finance Director in scaling and professionalising the finance function
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including international entities and multi-currency transactions
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), local tax regulations, and internal controls
Lead the development and implementation of financial systems, processes, and automation tools
Build, manage, and develop a growing finance team
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (e.g. Product, Commercial, Operations) to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
Support investor reporting, audits, and due diligence for future funding rounds or potential exit strategies
Act as a key business partner, providing data-driven insights to inform commercial decisions
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally trained in a top-tier firm
Strong post-qualification experience in a scale-up or high-growth tech/SaaS business
Experience managing or supporting international finance operations and consolidation
Solid understanding of technical accounting and compliance across jurisdictions
Proven track record of improving and modernising finance processes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach
