Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 FTE (Pro-Rata if Fractional) + Benefits

We are a growing, entrepreneurial property investment and development firm based in London, managing a diverse portfolio across residential, commercial, and mixed-use assets. With an expanding pipeline of projects, we are looking to appoint a strategic and hands-on Financial Controller to bring financial rigour, reporting excellence, and leadership to our finance function.
This role is suited to a qualified accountant with a strong background in property finance, and can be structured as either full-time or fractional (part-time), depending on the candidate’s availability and fit.
Oversee all day-to-day financial operations including budgeting, cash flow, and statutory reporting
Produce accurate monthly management accounts, financial dashboards, and variance analysis
Ensure timely completion of year-end accounts, audit, and tax filings
Implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures
Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, investment modelling, and scenario analysis
Provide insight into asset performance, ROI, and cost optimisation
Support fundraising, refinancing, and acquisition due diligence as required
Lead and mentor a small finance team or outsourced accounting provider
Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Evaluate and enhance financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
Background in property investment, asset management, real estate development, or construction
Strong technical knowledge across UK GAAP, tax, and regulatory frameworks
Commercially minded with excellent communication and analytical skills
Experience with financial modelling and investment appraisal
Knowledge of SPV structures, JV accounting, or fund reporting
Familiarity with property-specific systems (e.g., Yardi, Re-Leased, MRI)
Experience working in PE-backed or high-growth environments
Flexible working arrangements – full-time or fractional (3–5 days/week)
