As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Finance Director to join our senior leadership team and drive financial strategy, discipline, and long-term value creation.

Role Overview:

The Finance Director will lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial planning, governance, and insight across the business. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with other directors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions and supporting sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

  • Oversee all financial operations including management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow, and compliance

  • Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support business performance and investment decisions

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies

  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement

  • Ensure effective risk management, internal controls, and compliance with statutory and legal obligations

  • Support funding and capital investment activities

  • Contribute to strategic planning and business development as a key member of the leadership team

Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience

  • Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in manufacturing, waste management, logistics, or related industries

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Sage, SAP, Power BI)

  • A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to environmental values
