Position title
Tax Manager — In-House, Technology Group
Description

London (hybrid, 2–3 days) • £70,000–£85,000 + bonus + benefits • Permanent

Accountancy Capital is recruiting an in-house Tax Manager for a fast-growing, international technology group headquartered in London. This is a first dedicated tax hire reporting to the Group Financial Controller — a broad, build-it-yourself role for a candidate ready to move in-house from practice, or an experienced in-house tax professional seeking wider scope.
The Role

Ownership of the group’s UK corporation tax compliance cycle, including managing external advisers
Tax provisioning and disclosures for statutory accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS
VAT oversight across UK and EU registrations, including digital services considerations
Transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements as the group expands internationally
R&D relief claims and management of the associated adviser relationship
Employment tax matters including share scheme reporting (EMI) and IR35 processes
Building the group’s tax risk framework and advising the CFO and board on tax implications of commercial decisions

Qualifications

About You

CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with strong corporate tax specialisation)
Trained in practice — Big Four, mid-tier or a strong independent — with corporate tax at the core of your experience
First-move-in-house candidates at Manager or experienced Assistant Manager level are actively encouraged
Comfortable operating as the sole tax specialist, deciding what to handle in-house and what to buy in
Able to explain tax positions clearly to non-tax stakeholders, from finance colleagues to the board

International tax or transfer pricing exposure and familiarity with technology-sector issues — software revenue, IP structures, share schemes — would all strengthen an application, though none is essential.
