Based in London and recruiting nationwide, we are a specialist accountancy and finance recruitment agency, part of the FD Capital group. Founded by Adrian Lawrence FCA, a Fellow of the ICAEW, our team combines hands-on finance leadership experience with deep recruitment expertise — so we understand the roles we fill because we’ve worked in them.
Accountancy Capital focuses on qualified and part-qualified finance professionals below board level: Financial Controllers, Finance Managers, FP&A specialists, Management Accountants, tax and audit professionals. We recruit across permanent, interim, fixed-term and fractional engagements, giving employers and candidates genuine flexibility in how they work together.

Our Journey
Accountancy Capital was launched in 2024 as the newest member of the FD Capital group, joining sister brands that already specialise in CFO and Finance Director recruitment at board level. We saw a clear gap: employers could find board-level finance leaders through the group, but had no dedicated specialist for the qualified professionals who make finance functions actually run — the Financial Controllers, Finance Managers and FP&A specialists below director level.
While the brand is young, the experience behind it isn’t. Our founder, Adrian Lawrence FCA, qualified with the ICAEW and spent six years as a Director of Finance and IT before building the group — so every search we run is informed by someone who has sat on the hiring side of the desk, managed finance teams, and knows first-hand what separates a good hire from a great one.
Since launch we’ve grown quickly, placing finance professionals across permanent, interim and fractional engagements nationwide, and building a live jobs board that’s updated daily with new mandates — from in-house tax roles to maternity cover Financial Controller contracts.
